It has been 6 weeks since I returned from Mexico to ride out the Covid-19 wave with my family back in the United States. Just before Mexico went into phase-2 of the lockdown, it occurred to me that the folks who were having the easiest time with this quarantine party were all with their family and loved ones. So with that thought, I boarded a plane headed back to the US on the day before flights were canceled for 3 weeks. I also had some pretty important life events coming up, like my middle son turning 21 and his graduation from Georgia Tech with high honors, so I didn't want to take the chance that I couldn't get out of Mexico to be around to celebrate with him.
